Start Date: ASAP Location: Florida Position Type: Locum Tenens - Full-Time Compensation: All-inclusive rate (No travel or lodging provided) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist with a focus on civil or forensic psychiatry for a locum tenens assignment at a major facility in Florida. The role involves direct patient care, forensic determinations, and participation in multi-disciplinary treatment teams. This is a full-time position with the possibility of extending for up to 1 year. Key Details: Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approximately 2 to 4 weeks) Contract Length: Up to 1 year with potential for extension Schedule: Full-time Experience: Minimum 2 years of forensic, inpatient, or correctional psychiatry experience required Responsibilities: Provide direct psychiatric services to DCF residents, including examinations, diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy, and physical health management. Conduct forensic evaluations and determinations, as needed. Manage minor and major medical conditions, participate in discharge planning, and refer patients for additional testing or treatment as necessary. Perform rounds and document patient progress. Maintain documentation in compliance with DCF/FSH policies and standards.
