Psychiatry - Forensic Physician

Start Date: ASAP Location: Florida Position Type: Locum Tenens - Full-Time Compensation: All-inclusive rate (No travel or lodging provided) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist with a focus on civil or forensic psychiatry for a locum tenens assignment at a major facility in Florida. The role involves direct patient care, forensic determinations, and participation in multi-disciplinary treatment teams. This is a full-time position with the possibility of extending for up to 1 year. Key Details: * Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approximately 2 to 4 weeks) * Contract Length: Up to 1 year with potential for extension * Schedule: Full-time * Experience: Minimum 2 years of forensic, inpatient, or correctional psychiatry experience required Responsibilities: * Provide direct psychiatric services to DCF residents, including examinations, diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy, and physical health management. * Conduct forensic evaluations and determinations, as needed. * Manage minor and major medical conditions, participate in discharge planning, and refer patients for additional testing or treatment as necessary. * Perform rounds and document patient progress. * Maintain documentation in compliance with DCF/FSH policies and standards.
