Description
As Vice President, Finance - Hydraulics Americas/APAC, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success and operational efficiency within our organization. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that deliver long-term growth while being agile to deliver short-term results, aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Collaborate with the President and leadership team to shape the long-term financial vision for the segment.
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and prepare an annual long range financial plan for the business.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for sales growth, cost efficiency, and margin improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee finance resource allocation to maximize productivity and profitability.
- Drive discipline in managing cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital.
- Evaluate investments, including potential acquisitions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and manage segment budgets, forecasts, and models, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop integrated sales and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct regular financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends and address potential issues.
- Develop leading indicators to predict the trends and trajectory of the business while proactively levering resources to support the business conditions.
- Monitor and control expenses to meet or exceed budget targets.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regional and global accounting standards and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
- Proactively present financial performance metrics and key insights to the segment President and leadership team.
- Ensure accurate accounting and integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Manage requests from external and internal auditors, along with fostering relationships with outside partners.
- Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them in collaboration with Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting, the President and the segment leadership teams.
- Work with Internal Audit to implement effective internal controls to safeguard assets and financial data.
- Team Dynamics and Leadership:
- Hire, coach and develop a high-performance team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with other finance and accounting leaders throughout the broader organization, including the Helios corporate team.
- Collaborate with other business and functional leaders to align financial goals with operational objectives.
- Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial software and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and efficiency.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving financial goals.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a senior finance executive in a global, multi-location organization.
- Possesses minimum (15) fifteen years of current Finance/Accounting experience, (5) five years of which must be serving in a functional leadership capacity, demonstrating ability to apply knowledge and skills in a business environment and attain objectives. Preferably possesses a minimum of (5) five years of public company experience.
