About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Technology for Semiconductor Materials to play a pivotal role in the development of advanced materials for the semiconductor industry. This highly visible and hands-on position involves strategizing and collaborating with end-users, defining technology paths for business opportunities, and building industry and academic partnerships. The successful candidate will act as a technical executive for the US semiconductor team, attending conferences, engaging in business capture, and working on grants and proposals. A key responsibility is to ensure a synergistic approach to global business initiatives and to advise on the launch of semiconductor material and substrate manufacturing operations in the US. Applicants must have an in-depth technical background in semiconductor materials and wafer processes, including crystallization, ingots and substrates, wafer processing, packaging, and the material supply chain. Experience in working on grants and proposals, as well as the ability to write white papers to define market position, is essential. The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment. A PhD or MS technical degree in physics, materials, or chemical/chemistry, with a focus on semiconductors, is required, along with US citizenship.
