Gilchrist Global Strategies is seeking two Paralegals to support the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, DC. These roles involve handling complex criminal matters and providing comprehensive litigation support under the guidance of the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist case teams by managing and tracking data to ensure it is processed correctly and efficiently.
  • Perform database searches, report exports, and other data retrieval tasks using tools like Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity, and CaseView.
  • Provide litigation support, including managing discovery productions, reviewing and analyzing case materials, and preparing documents for the legal team.
  • Organize subpoena returns, discovery documents, and trial binders.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents and ensure their accuracy before submission.
  • Prepare documents for scanning, perform OCR, and manage file labeling and redacting.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records, including indexing of case files and creating witness binders and logs for subpoena returns and discovery purposes.
  • Act as a first-level reviewer for sensitive documents, adhering to specific guidelines for redaction.
  • 40 hours per week, excluding Federal holidays. Overtime may be necessary and will only be performed with prior approval of the COR in accordance with company and EOUSA COR procedures.
  • Travel may be required and must be approved in advance.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree. Experience in finance/accounting, health care, or a strong legal or IT background is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with office and network environments, including PC-based databases, internet and server-based databases, and applications like Oracle, Relativity, Trial Director, etc.
  • Familiarity with standard office software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Direct trial and litigation experience.
  • Experience in criminal law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment with strict deadlines.
