Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for the accurate record of inventory at the location. The Inventory Control Clerk will compile records concerned with the ordering of product, product receipt, assigning a warehouse bin location, cycle counts, and monitor the order selection process.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, smell, talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for the accurate record of inventory at the location. The Inventory Control Clerk will compile records concerned with the ordering of product, product receipt, assigning a warehouse bin location, cycle counts, and monitor the order selection process.

- Compile data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and write, type, or enter information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of location physical inventories, coordinating with Warehouse Operations, Customer Service and Accounting. Responsible for training and job assignment during inventories.
- Initiate daily bin verifications and develop cycle count program. Make system inventory adjustments in accordance to established company policy and practice.
- Update inventory control computer system for stock relocations and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of the OS & D area and monitor excess stock levels. Coordinate the disposal and salvage of excess, damage and out of code items.
- Follow inventory control procedures and conduct regular training sessions with Customer Service, Warehouse Operations and other departments as needed.

Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP, TMS and MS Office systems
- Previous experience in warehouse/distribution
