ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking a Senior Social & Content Manager to drive brand growth by shaping our content strategy, driving engagement, and amplifying our message across digital channels. You're a creative powerhouse with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the beauty industry landscape. You are skilled in the day-to-day ideation and execution of content creation, as well as high-level strategizing. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with internal teams including Design, Brand Marketing, Influencer, Paid Media, and PR/Comms, as well as external partners like freelance creators and photo/video production vendors. You'll report to the Director of Global Brand Marketing. You'll manage the Social Media Coordinator and part-time Community Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develop, plan & execute monthly content calendar (editorial messaging + static/video asset direction) all organic social channels, including support for new launches & Farmacybeauty.com promotions. This strategy is rooted in your deep understanding of our brand DNA/voice, our business priorities, and each channel's unique needs.
  2. Manage organic + paid content creation. Partner with Marketing, Paid Media, and Creative teams to understand brand needs and seamlessly integrate overall brand communication efforts into your workflow.
  3. Create briefs for internal needs. Communicate the social team's content needs and partner with creative to bring content to life.
  4. Brief + Relationship management with external partners. Develop clear briefs that communicate Farmacy's brand identity to Content Creators to aid as they build out Content/Video for new launches, core hero product support, and brand storytelling.
  5. Drive and track execution of asset needs and channel-specific edits that ladder up to 360 toolkits. Implement and oversee ongoing video asset management systems/tools/processes.
  6. Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly social media reports. Analyze and report on content performance across channels in partnership with marketing leads for ongoing learning.
  7. Identify best practices, trends and fresh content ideas to drive performance on key digital, organic and paid social channels. Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and elevate our social strategy. Be on the pulse of channel trends, new platforms and the overall industry landscape.
  8. Coach + develop your team of Social Media Coordinator and Community Coordinator.

Requirements
  • Ideally 6+ years of professional experience in social media management or related marketing roles.
  • Thorough understanding of social media best practices, platform algorithms, spotting trends + cultural moments, and tracking KPIs.
  • Passion for beauty industry + obsession with social media.
  • Outstanding communications skills (both written and verbal).
  • Natural storyteller, comfortable on camera.
  • Expert in Instagram, TikTok. Experience with Tribe Dynamics.
  • Expert in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, able to keep up with a diverse to-do list
  • Outstanding time management skills. Able to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Able to commute to the NYC office minimum 2 days per week.
  • Available for various weekend and evening events on a scheduled, ad hoc basis.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship from employer. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
