Role Summary

Role: Senior Robotics Engineer - Computer Vision

Location: Sunnyvale, CA.

We are looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer with focus on perception and planning to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge robotics technology at Pebble. You will work with a team of brilliant engineers to develop and deploy robotic systems that will transform industries and improve people's lives. If you are excited about being part of a dynamic startup and have a deep understanding of the perception stack in a robotics system, in particular computer vision, with a proven track record of shipping robotics software for real-life applications, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in designing, developing, and optimizing software for computer vision in the Pebble Flow.
  • Design and take to production detection and tracking systems for the Pebble Flow.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of the perception stack, with a strong emphasis on practical, real-world implementation.
  • End of line calibration of vision systems.
  • Tackle complex computer vision problems, providing innovative solutions that address practical challenges in real-world robotics applications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, and fellow software engineers, to develop comprehensive solutions for our robotic products that meet the demands of real-world scenarios.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in computer vision technology and integrate new methodologies and tools into our software stack to enhance real-world performance.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven track record of designing, developing, and shipping robotics software products for real-life applications with demonstrated impact.
  • Deep expertise in the perception stack, in particular, computer vision, with an emphasis on practical, real-world implementation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, specifically in the context of real-world robotics challenges.
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
  • Passion for robotics technology and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
