Litigation Attorney

A distinguished law firm is currently searching for an associate attorney with environmental litigation experience. This position holds the potential for advancement towards partnership.

This person will be:

• Managing issues related to hazardous and solid waste, water, air quality, endangered species.
• Handling California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) matters.
• Working on land use and administrative enforcement cases and providing counsel on environmental permitting, due diligence, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Engaging in substantial legal drafting, including pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Managing document discovery, conducting depositions, arguing motions, and offering guidance on environmental concerns.

Requirements

- Licensed attorney
- Civil litigation experience
- Deep understanding of Draft Pleadings
- Foundational knowledge in Arguing Motions
- Defending Depositions experience
- Environmental law experience
- Adeptness in Discovery
- Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills
- High attention to detail
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Above-average academic credentials and references
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
