Orthopedics Physician

Coverage Needed * December 16, 2024 - ongoing Schedule * Friday 7a-Monday 7a; every weekend * Will look at a minimum of 2 weekends a month Clinical Details * Taking call for the ED every weekend * Practice Setting: Hospital; Level II * Avg. Daily Census: 0-3 * Patient Age Group: adults * Seeing trauma patients that may come in the ED over the weekend * Reductions, splinting/casting, and any indicated operative procedures, pelvic and/or acetabulum fractures is not expected but provisional stabilization with skeletal traction, external fixation, and/or application of pelvic binders is in scope * There are no outpatient clinic responsibilities Requirements * Must have experience with the evaluation and treatment of the most common, bread-and-butter musculoskeletal conditions resulting in inpatient consultation * Board Certifications Orthopedic * Ortho trauma fellowship - Preferred * Active NC License * DEA * Open to new grads * Covid vaccine (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) * Charting Experience: Epic Support Staff * Provide guidance and oversight of orthopedic trauma APPs who assist with the Orthopedic Trauma Service and who serve as "first call" for the service EMR * Epic
