The GPU, Graphics & Displays team is looking for Engineering Project Manager to help shape our next generation products. You’ll be be responsible to lead planning, execution and communication between several engineering groups at Apple, and helping define/run processes that ensure GPU & Display deliverables for these products are met. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who work well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.DescriptionApple’s GGD (GPU, Graphics and Displays) group provides the graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, to Apple TV, iTunes,Vision and Mac. Join our cross-functional team, where the innovative intersection of AI/ML and GPU technology drives breakthrough products and features. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) with experience in supporting machine learning (ML) accelerated by GPU technology and be able to participate in: - Leading multi-functional teams to develop and deploy GPU-accelerated ML solutions across Apple’s product ecosystem. - Driving the product development lifecycle ( software and hardware) from concept through launch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative products. - Collaborating with AIML researchers, software engineers, and GPU experts to define, scope, and implement machine learning initiatives. - Maintaining clear communication and documentation on the program’s status, including risks, schedules, and resources. - Fostering a culture of innovation, leading teams to develop cutting-edge technology and setting the strategic direction for AI/ML projects at Apple. - Excellent project management skills including project structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.Minimum QualificationsProven experience in EPM (Engineering Program Manager) roles, ideally within the AI/ML space or software development sectors, driving cross-functional product development.Familiarity with GPU architectures and their application in machine learning workloads, particularly model training and inference.Familiarity with GPU programming languages for accelerating ML algorithms (Metal, CUDA, PyTorch, etc).Preferred QualificationsBS/MS (EE/CS/CE), or a related technical field.Strong technical background, capable of working closely with engineering teams to manage software/hardware integration, performance, and scalability.Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of managing complex cross-team projects and delivering successful results.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working with a ML research team.Experience with cloud-based AI solutions, parallel processing, and scalable architectures.Passion for advancing AI/ML technologies and their application in consumer products.Strong interest in contributing to Apple's mission to improve the user experience through the power of machine learning.Ability to dive deep on technical topics and abstract the right level of information into an actionable path forward with cross-functional consensus.Demonstrated ability to quickly understand or ramp up on technical concepts in a wide range of fields.Demonstrated ability to provide succinct, accurate executive summaries of complicated situations.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
