We are a nimble Compliance department supporting a growing business, so we are seeking an individual who enjoys wearing multiple hats, proactively takes on new responsibilities and is excited by the challenge of providing compliance oversight at a dynamic, fast-growing fintech company.This role is onsite in our New York City office 4 days per week. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with a range of cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, sales, and operations, to identify and mitigate compliance risks on a range of legal and regulatory issues impacting MoneyLion’s products, business and customers.Enhance our Compliance Management System to ensure robust oversight of the product development process at MoneyLion and efficient rollout of policies and processes. Oversee MoneyLion’s partner due diligence program, accountable for diligence processes and procedures and an effective ongoing monitoring program.Operationalize and oversee change management processes across various fintech partners to ensure compliance with regulatory updates and changes. Work creatively and collaboratively to guide the product and business teams on novel ideas and applicable laws and regulations relating to consumer protection, marketing, data protection and privacy in the fintech space.Develop, strengthen and audit our privacy and information governance programs, practices, and procedures and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws.Engage with external partners and other stakeholders with respect to regulatory and compliance issues that impact MoneyLion’s products and services.Review proposed rulemakings and monitor evolving laws in the fintech space that may impact MoneyLion’s products and services, and spearhead initiatives to operationalize and implement compliant solutions.Draft and maintain compliance policies, procedures and related materials for MoneyLion’s products and services, including terms and conditions and product policies and disclosures, and implement related processes.Evaluate and report on compliance program trends and KPIs; contribute to a “culture of compliance” by bringing compliance recognition to other units within the business.Assist legal and compliance team members in other projects as needed.About YouInfluential leader that possesses the ability to think outside the box and is solution oriented in the complex fintech regulatory environment. Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a compliance managerial position in the financial services industry.Experience working at a fintech or in a B2B/B2B2C technology sector is preferred.Strong knowledge of GLBA, FCRA, TILA, UDAAP and other financial regulations.Experience in privacy program management and strong knowledge of data protection and privacy issues, particularly as they relate to the fintech/financial services industry.Sharp analytical skills, diligent, proactive, and collaborative, and have demonstrated excellent legal and business judgment and strategic thinking.Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners. Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do the work.Interest in the unique privacy and regulatory considerations in the fintech space, including as they relate to the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in product- and operations-related processes.Excited by our mission of giving everyone the power to make their best financial decisions. The annual base salary for the Director, Compliance role is expected to be between $145,000 to $160,000. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions.
