We are looking for a dedicated Referrals Specialist to join our team remotely, supporting healthcare providers and members by managing and coordinating referrals for medical services. In this role, you will ensure that referral requests are processed efficiently and accurately, promoting a smooth experience for both patients and providers. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, communicative professional with experience in healthcare referrals and a commitment to quality service.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage referral requests from providers, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
Verify patient information and eligibility requirements before approving referrals.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, members, and internal teams to coordinate referral details.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Address inquiries regarding referral status and resolve any issues or discrepancies as needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or a related field.
Familiarity with referral management systems and healthcare databases.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision in a remote setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in healthcare referrals, insurance, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of healthcare procedures, insurance policies, and referral processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with healthcare software.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
Must reside in Texas within Brownsville, Tx to McAllen, Tx
