Job Summary

The Corporate Risk Engineer will oversee and manage risk-related recommendations provided by the company's lead insurer. This role will be responsible for coordinating with all facilities to ensure timely and effective implementation of risk mitigation strategies across physical assets. The Corporate Risk Engineer will also work closely with various stakeholders, including facility managers, safety teams, and senior leadership, to enhance asset protection and maintain compliance with insurance and industry standards.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation Coordination:

    • Analyze and interpret risk assessment reports from the lead insurer, translating technical recommendations into actionable steps for each facility.
    • Coordinate with facility managers and engineering teams to develop project plans and schedules for implementing risk recommendations.
    • Track the status and completion of all insurer-recommended improvements, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Training:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and lead insurer, facilitating clear communication and understanding of risk assessment outcomes.
    • Provide training and guidance to facility teams on risk management practices and requirements.
    • Conduct regular meetings with facilities and leadership to discuss progress, challenges, and adjustments in implementation plans.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all facilities meet insurer standards and comply with applicable regulations, codes, and best practices.
    • Maintain thorough documentation of all recommendations, project plans, and completed actions, enabling transparency and accountability in risk mitigation.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing risk management activities, project statuses, and areas requiring further attention.
  • Continuous Improvement and Risk Analysis:
    • Conduct periodic audits to verify adherence to implemented recommendations and identify opportunities for further risk reduction.
    • Evaluate existing risk management protocols and identify gaps or areas for enhancement to support ongoing operational safety and asset protection.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and insurer guidelines to ensure a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Emergency Response and Incident Management Support:
    • Collaborate with facility managers and emergency response teams to develop and implement emergency response plans aligned with risk recommendations.
    • Assist in incident investigations related to property or operational risks, contributing insights on root causes and corrective actions.
Here's What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk engineering, asset management, or industrial safety, preferably within a corporate or multi-site environment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance risk assessments, safety codes, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management and experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Familiarity with risk analysis tools, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with facility teams, insurance representatives, and senior management.
  • Professional certifications in risk management (ARM, CRM) or engineering (PE) are preferred.
  • Travel: 50%
