Burkwood is seeking and individual for the Part-Time Cook position. This individual will be primarily responsible for the preparation of food and the clean up afterwards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to properly prepare, serve and store food.
  • An understanding of the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ability to handle and prepare foods in accordance to the regulatory agencies.
  • Work under supervision on menu compliance and special diet compliance, and by direct observation of patient compliance.
  • Report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to supervisor.
  • Prepare foods according to standardized recipes, preparation, service methods, and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Kitchen/Cooking/Cleaning commercial experience preferred.
  • Must work effectively in a team.
  • Must work flexible hours (to include weekends and holidays).
