SUMMARY: The Porter will perform any combination of light cleaning duties to keep Rolling Hills Country Club in a clean and orderly manner. The primary duties of the Porter include cleaning rooms and halls, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning equipment, and mats, as well as keeping all areas well stocked with the necessary supplies.

SUMMARY: The Porter will perform any combination of light cleaning duties to keep Rolling Hills Country Club in a clean and orderly manner. The primary duties of the Porter include cleaning rooms and halls, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning equipment, and mats, as well as keeping all areas well stocked with the necessary supplies.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to keep RHCC in a clean and orderly manner and to make sure all required health standards are met.
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies, such as linens and bathroom items; restock janitorial supplies.
- Keep track and continually update inventory of supplies.
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Sweep, scrub, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing machines.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to interact with members and staff on all levels in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
- Ability to wear common protective equipment (rubber/latex gloves or waterproof suits).
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
- Ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; Bilingual a plus.
- 1+ years' experience, club/hotel environment preferred
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Requires repetitive movement, such as bending, kneeling, reaching, or twisting
- Ability to move about freely in a multi-floor building
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors, in many weather conditions
