US Space Force Data Analyst

Sigmatech, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to support the US Space Force (USSF) Office of the Chief of Human Capital (CHCO), referred to as the SF/S1. The S1 is responsible for executive leadership and managerial direction for the Space Force in all functional areas of personnel management to include force structure analysis; personnel programs; civilian personnel; readiness; senior leader matters; compensation; quality of life and quality of force issues; equal opportunity; and family support for military and civilian personnel located at 175 locations worldwide in support of the service's space missions.

This particular effort is focused on the S1's responsibility to identify and execute all Personnel Management Act (PMA) requirements and tracking information; developing and executing the PMA process of all Guardians; implementing and managing military policies and requirements; and defining career force management guidance, plans and programs. This position will support the SF/S1 mission conducted in Arlington, VA. Remote or hybrid opportunities are TBD.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of programs and system schemes
  • Develop a knowledge management plan to include milestones and metrics
  • Apply leading edge principles, theories, and concepts to drive innovation in collaboration for data analysis and knowledge management tools
  • Implement and execute government directives


Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, oral presentation and executive writing skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to plan, work and deliver independently

Preferred skills:

  • Pentagon knowledge and understanding of Pentagon organizations
  • Knowledge and familiarity with current Defense Department efforts in space
  • Staff experience supporting DoD agencies within the past 3 years
  • Familiarity with TMT and/or or other HQ staffing tools
  • Patience in working with non-technical end users
  • Must be able to pick up new things quickly

Required Education/Experience:

  • Relevant experience related to performance of analysis of programs and information system schemes
  • Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Advanced industry technical certifications
