Information Security Architect

Security Architect (SIEM Engineer) – Weekly hybrid remote/onsite in Columbia, SC

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a senior Security Architect with extensive SIEM engineering experience. Flexibility for remote/onsite work throughout the week in Columbia, SC. Candidates MUST be comfortable with onsite work as-needed in Columbia, SC.

Required Qualifications of the Security Architect:

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Must be comfortable with ONSITE WORK/WEEK in Columbia, SC.
• At least 5 years of SIEM engineering experience. Experience with CRIBL experience HIGHLY preferred.
• Extensive experience with Linux, Windows, network security protocols and procedures.
• Expert level experience in Access Control, logging, and reporting systems.
• Heavy focus on log / event management.
• Effective interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Security Architect:

Logging and event management. Ensure that appropriate security logs are ingested into the SIEM and/or log aggregation platform.

Responsible for planning, designing, development, and implementation of enterprise security solutions.

Lead process definition, redesign and technology innovation of security architecture.

Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures to known security threats.

Develop preventative mitigation strategies for new and emergent threats.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Point of Contact (POC) for developing and managing processes related to IT Services projects.

Work Location: Need to be flexible to onsite work in Columbia, SC.
