Security Architect (SIEM Engineer) - Weekly hybrid remote/onsite in Columbia, SC

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a senior Security Architect with extensive SIEM engineering experience. Flexibility for remote/onsite work throughout the week in Columbia, SC. Candidates MUST be comfortable with onsite work as-needed in Columbia, SC.

Required Qualifications of the Security Architect:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Must be comfortable with ONSITE WORK/WEEK in Columbia, SC.
  • At least 5 years of SIEM engineering experience. Experience with CRIBL experience HIGHLY preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Linux, Windows, network security protocols and procedures.
  • Expert level experience in Access Control, logging, and reporting systems.
  • Heavy focus on log / event management.
  • Effective interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Security Architect:
  • Logging and event management. Ensure that appropriate security logs are ingested into the SIEM and/or log aggregation platform.
  • Responsible for planning, designing, development, and implementation of enterprise security solutions.
  • Lead process definition, redesign and technology innovation of security architecture.
  • Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures to known security threats.
  • Develop preventative mitigation strategies for new and emergent threats.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Point of Contact (POC) for developing and managing processes related to IT Services projects.

Work Location: Need to be flexible to onsite work in Columbia, SC.
