Control Systems Cybersecurity Analyst at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Control Systems Cybersecurity Analyst to work in our Cybercore Analysis department. Our team works a 980 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Senior Manager over the Analysis department. Control Systems Cybersecurity Analysts perform in-depth technical analyses of cyber threats to industrial control systems used in industry, military platforms, and various critical infrastructures. Responsibilities Include: As an individual contributor, you will have domain expertise in intelligence analysis, cybersecurity, and engineering fields. Lead collaborative projects comprised of one or more other analysts, control systems specialists, power engineers, and cyber researchers to complete a mix of both short- and long-term technical projects. As such, we are looking for analysts that are willing to proactively accomplish work. Distill information into concise written analytic reports, briefings, and strategy documents for non-technical audiences, using in-depth knowledge of engineering practices (electrical, mechanical, or power) or computer science principles. Blend technical expertise with threat analysis to counter cyberattacks targeting industrial control systems (ICS) within critical infrastructure, e.g., electrical grid, oil and gas pipelines, nuclear energy facilities, military installations, and transportation networks. This posting closes on: 9-27-24 Minimum Requirements: Minimum experience: Baccalaureate plus 5-9 years of relevant experience or Master's plus 2-6 years of relevant experience or Doctorate plus 2-4 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree, 11 -15 years relevant experience. The ideal candidate: A body of published analyses on cybersecurity issues or ICS in critical infrastructure will be viewed very favorably. Intelligence analysis and serving as a principal author of reports for federal, state or local government consumers. Education or professional experience with computer sciences, cybersecurity for operational technology environments, or ICS.
