Industrial Plant Janitor (Part-Time)

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Pay Rate: $15/hr

Location: Houston, TX 77015

Experience: 2-3 Years

Janitor Job Summary:

The Part-time janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks

Janitor Skills and Requirements:

• Clean and maintain production work areas
  
• Remove debris and refuse
  
• Mop and sweep floors, including operation of powered floor scrubber/sweeper
  
• Maintain cleanliness of office areas
  
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and locker rooms
  
• Empty trash and recycling cans indoors / outdoors, replace liners and clean receptacles as necessary
  
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas
  
• Paint or touch up caution areas, machines, stairs, etc. as necessary
  
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and request new supplies as needed
  
• Prepare documentation as needed regarding work and maintenance performed
  
• Maintain clear exits and building entryways, including snow removal manually as well as using plow (if applicable)
  
• Report all equipment failures to immediate supervisor
  
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines
  
• Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards
  
• Items may include: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, etc
  
• Ability to maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility
