responsibilities:
- Create and maintain master production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and resources.
- Align production schedules with material and labor availability to ensure timely delivery.
- Prioritize orders and projects to meet deadlines while balancing operational capacity.
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure resource availability.
- Anticipate and resolve potential resource shortages or production constraints.
- Optimize machine and labor utilization by evaluating production capacity.
- Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, supply disruptions, or delays.
- Use historical data to forecast production needs and prevent bottlenecks.
- Track production progress and adjust schedules to maintain on-time delivery.
- Communicate delays and challenges to management, proposing solutions or contingency plans.
- Work with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales to address scheduling conflicts.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of schedule changes and delays.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like on-time delivery and production efficiency.
- Generate reports on production status, schedule performance, and resource utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling and production workflows.
- Recommend and implement best practices for resource optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and scheduling software advancements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, changes, and related documentation for auditing.
