Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Public Administration, the Program Manager performs a variety of administrative support with minimal supervision for a the Bi-Campus Master of Public Administration (MPA) program which includes 5+ Full-Time Faculty, 10+ adjunct faculty and 100 graduate students. The Program Manager interacts with the Dean's Office, Academic Scheduling, Admissions, Alumni Relations, and other University Offices, while performing a variety of administrative duties and projects for the Chairperson/Department. The Program Manager maintains regular communication with public administration students to provide a high level of customer service, as the first point of contact, and supports students throughout the degree program from application to graduation.
Serving as a first point of contact for callers, email inquiries, and visitors to these offices, the Program Manager provides excellent customer service in-person, via phone and email, coordinating communication between faculty and students and guiding students and other members of the Pace community on department procedures. The incumbent interacts heavily with the Department Chairs, full-time, and adjunct faculty and students who come to the department for advice, guidance or approvals. They have strong knowledge of University procedures and in-depth knowledge of departmental best practices and procedures. The Program Manager supports department chairs and faculty with special projects as needed. The incumbent handles sensitive situations/problems requiring a high degree of diplomacy tact and/or knowledge of the University's practices.
Position Duties
Office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Occasional nights and weekends at events and special programs will be necessary, as the MPA program courses are in the evening hours. This position is based in NYC but work from White Plains will also be required.

Position Duties
- Providing administrative support to the Chair and other faculty.
- Drafting departmental communications, reports and meeting minutes.
- Managing social media and web updates.
- Coordinating with the Graduate Admissions Office on recruitment events and attending these in person and online.
- Coordinating a variety of projects and events including welcome and orientation for new students each semester.
- Advising students on registration process.
- Working with Chair to monitor departmental supplies and services budget.
- Office management and organization of supplies, digital files and archive including syllabi.
- Event coordination including room bookings and catering orders.
- Arranging appointments and performing other daily scheduling responsibilities for the Chair.
- Serving as liaison between the Chair, faculty, students, and other program administrators.
- Coordinating academic scheduling with Chair, including but not limited to entering faculty assignments and tracking faculty workload.
- Coordinating the book ordering process for faculty members.
- Coordinating travel assignments for faculty.
- Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; MPA degree preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of/experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Facility with learning new systems such as Banner and e-Procurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be discreet and diplomatic.
- Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
