Position Overview

The Local Market Business Analyst on the Network Relations team supports NCF's success by providing data-driven insights to optimize network performance and foster growth. This role requires the ability to not only analyze data but also translate it into actionable recommendations that drive business decisions and improve ministry outcomes. The role involves conducting market analyses, delivering comprehensive reporting solutions, and ensuring operational alignment between national and local offices. Key responsibilities include analyzing market performance of current offerings, tracking engagement campaigns, developing data quality metrics, and supporting reporting needs. The Analyst collaborates extensively with various stakeholders, serves as an IT and Finance liaison, and plays a key role in gathering, documenting, and communicating business and system requirements to improve giver experience and organizational health.

NCF is located in Alpharetta, GA. This role is hybrid/remote allowing for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work. We prefer the candidate to be local to the greater Atlanta area, though we value flexibility and are open to a fully remote candidate who lives in one of the following states: AZ, AR, FL, IL, KS, KY, MN, MS, MO, PA, TN, TX. A fully remote candidate must be willing to travel approximately 6-8 times a year to work in our office in Alpharetta, Georgia or various local offices. The candidate must also be available to work during standard business hours on Eastern time (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Duties and Responsibilities

Campaign Metrics and Data Reporting
  • Manage all campaign metrics and progress-to-goal reporting, providing necessary tools and data for internal and external analysis across the Network.
  • Tells the story of NCF through data analysis, including program and post-program reviews.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure tools and data are used correctly for strategic campaign planning and outreach efforts.
  • Translate data into actionable items to help local offices serve givers.
Data Analytics, Management and Optimization
  • Oversee giver-centric data sources (e.g., Salesforce, Report Center) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and standardize tools and systems for data collection, tracking, and reporting, transitioning data from various sources (external databases, Excel) into a unified repository, like Marketing Cloud.
  • Generate and monitor data reports, ensuring business data and reporting needs are met.
  • Support CRM improvements and work with IT teams on network changes, moves, and staffing transitions.
Market and Business Analysis
  • Conduct market analyses and evaluate the performance of local and national offices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to drive growth.
  • Build and enhance reporting tools to increase outreach growth, market share, and margin improvement.
  • Provide data modeling and support for new product development and analysis of existing products.
  • Perform queries on large data sets from CRMs and other databases, generating ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
Project and Fiscal Planning
  • Assist with annual sales budgeting and goal setting for RM teams, participating in forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Review and optimize business processes, providing dashboard/visualization ideas for stakeholders.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and assist in developing giver-centric activities to support strategic priorities.
  • Support business model analysis and data reporting solutions, collaborating with business partners and network stakeholders.

Education
  • A bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, business analytics, industrial engineering, or finance is required.
  • A master's degree in economics, statistics, business analytics, industrial engineering, or finance is desired.
Experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in data analytics, data management, or business intelligence.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit, charitable giving, or ministry environment preferred. Experience with enterprise systems, data collection and management preferred.
  • Previous experience in an environment serving high net worth individuals, families, or advisors preferred.
  • Previous experience with engagement, channel, or outreach campaigns a plus.
  • Technical and analytical orientation with a history of working with data warehouses a plus.
  • Previous experience in a high touch, service-oriented industry a plus.
  • Professional use of Business Intelligence (BI tools) such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire or other types of application software that collect and process large amounts of unstructured data from internal and external systems.
Knowledge Base
  • Strong passion and proven skills in data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and visualize data from complex programs, with high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with CRMs like Salesforce; experience with wealth management tools and NetSuite ERP is a plus.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling software, data transformation, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), MS SQL, MS SSAS, Python, and Alteryx.
  • Experience with program mapping software and executive presentation building preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently or collaboratively, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with charitable, non-profit, foundation, or donor-related topics preferred; experience with faith-based communities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial services a plus.
