IIS Enterprise Business Solutions - Intermediate Business Analyst

(This is a hybrid role with some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)

The technical Business Analyst (BA) role in the Enterprise Business Solutions department acts as a liaison between IT and business units for the development, implementation, and support of our non-clinical business applications. Documenting business requirements and articulating business needs is at the core of this role. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this role as it works closely with both our development and functional teams. Experience working in an Agile framework, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is necessary, as is experience in interface/integration documentation.

In this role, the BA is responsible for assessing and interpreting customer needs and objectives to clearly articulate and document requirements. They also assist in the preparation of communications and presentations on system improvements and/or alternatives. Candidates must self-direct oneself to document and test requirements, solving complex business problems, and develop innovative solutions working collaboratively with the development team. Candidates in this role must be comfortable working with large data sets and strong in Microsoft Excel. Experience with end to end software implementations projects is necessary for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Acts as a liaison between IT and business units for the development, implementation and support of new systems and enhancements under moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and objectives to evaluate new applications or enhance existing applications, document and test system requirements, and work collaboratively with the development team to recommend solution alternatives.
  • Assists in the preparation of communications and presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Solves moderately complex problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.
  • Requires experience in single business area and application (package and custom).
  • Requires Experience implementing or supporting applications (ERP, HR payroll, Finance).
  • Requires experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Vizio, Word).
  • Requires experience facilitating/ leading requirement gathering sessions.
  • Requires experience with process modeling requirements and test plans.
