Radiant Power is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production team.This position is located in Sarasota, FL and is full-time, Monday - Thursday. This is not a work from home position.Relocation allowance may be offered for the right candidate.Radiant Power Corp. delivers the highest levels of quality and reliability from our full range of aerospace products. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.The manufacturing engineer supports the business in areas of production process improvement, analyzing and interpreting technical data (engineering drawings, QA specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and creating shop routings, operations sheets, tools and other necessary processes and equipment for all products.GENERAL DUTIES:Design and develop related fixtures and toolingCreate and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts and shop orders in conjunction with the NPD and Quality Assurance functionsProvide Engineering support to the Production team to trouble shoot and resolve technical issuesCollaborate with Quality Control, Design Engineering and Manufacturing Team Members regarding testing methodology, product tooling and design, to ensure effective production methodsImplement automated solutions where volumes and business case justifies.Confer with vendors to determine adherence to product specifications, specifying equipment purchases, make vs. buy analysis, and evaluating products according to quality standards/specifications.Participate/Lead MRB activities, including root cause and corrective actionsDesign and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes and new products.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferred).Minimum 3 years in electronics assembly production environment is preferredPreference given to aerospace and defense electronics experienceRead/Write Fluently in English; Spanish speaking a plusNeeds to be an effective communicator, credible and decisive, possess team building skillsMust be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environmentMust have analytical skills and demonstrated RCCA implementation experienceComfortable using MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and MSWord.Sustained dependable attendance.Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:Regularly required to walk up and down stairs.Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.Regularly required to talk or hear.Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
