From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries.ResponsibilitiesOperate, upgrade and maintain internal machine shop to support engineering, manufacturing, and test teams. This includes CNC and manual machines, saws, drills, power and hand tools, fabrication equipment etc.Implement and uphold best practices for operation and safety of automated and manual CNC and other equipmentCreate and run G-code from 2D and 3D part files and request specifications.Operate manual mill and lathe for part creation or modification.Keep workshop clean and organized on a daily basisBuild mechanical prototypes, fixtures and perform product modifications to support engineering activities.Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.Maintain various mechanical and electrical equipment through preventative maintenance, machine upgrades and repairs. Find and follow manufacturer instructions where applicable.Perform quality inspections of machines and parts with basic and advanced measurement equipment.Assists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specificationsFollow guidelines for bill of materials, purchasing, inventory management & audits and shop organizationSupport manufacturing through troubleshooting activities; Maintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environmentRequirementsHigh school diploma3-5 years relevant work experiencePhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
