Position Summary

The UNM HSC Center for Native American Health (CNAH)specializes in student and workforce development, community engagement,community-based participatory research, program planning and projectmanagement.We partner with students,staff, faculty, community groups, organizations and government agencies todevelop sustainable solutions and creative pathways for improving the healthand well-being of indigenous people.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the CNAH team as an Administrative Coordinator.This position will support administrativecore and CNAH's Student Services core.

As the Administrative Coordinator some of your keyresponsibilities will be:
  • An indispensable part for project planning/management and supervision
  • Financial responsibility through purchasing, Chrome River, Lobomart, MyReports, budgeting and maintaining financial records while adhering to UNM policies and procedures.
  • Support CNAH's Student Services through community outreach within HSC UNM & UNM Native American and regional communities.
  • Updating and maintaining CNAH's website and social media platforms
  • Communicating and working in a team environment to include collaborating with the team, identifying potential issues and creating proactive solutions
  • The collection, management and presentation of data from multiple sources
  • The opportunity to assist team members with other duties as needed/assigned

Conditions of Employment
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED;at least 5 years ofexperience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate at all levels including our student population, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in website management and social media platforms
  • Providing excellent customer service to external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time
  • Experience, and ability to take on leadership role, in all event planning details
  • Familiarity or the ability to learn UNM platforms such as Banner and Chrome River along with the ability to apply University policies and procedures
  • Experience in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
