Description FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Build and maintain a portfolio of 150-200 corporate and foundation donors and prospects. Work with the Development Team, Development Committee and Board Members to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation donors and prospects. Take action to meet annual fundraising goals, with a focus on sponsorship and grants. Conduct cultivation and solicitation visits with corporate and foundation donors and prospects. Manage grant activity, including grants management meetings, proposal development, submission and reporting. Provide consistent follow-up post meetings, events, and other activities to secure commitments or move relationships forward. Track and report relationship-management activity using database. Manage expenses as budgeted. Participate in organizational events and programs that support efforts to meet annual fundraising goals. Other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals. Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Capability to obtain functional knowledge of Raiser's Edge and online giving portals. Proven ability to solicit and secure major gifts and sponsorships. Project management and/or grants writing experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build relationships with individuals from varying backgrounds. LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED: Valid driver's license PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS: Constantly operates computers and other office equipment. Frequently works in an indoor office environment. Occasionally required to traverse the park over uneven terrain during events. Occasionally lifts and moves materials up to 40 pounds.
