It's possible Work Location: Remote Home office Position Summary The National Accounts Manager reports to the National Accounts Director- Builders and is responsible for retaining current business, delivering share growth on high value products and driving alignment between the local sales teams and the builder divisions. These strategic accounts are normally large national builders that represent significant existing or potential business to James Hardie. The incumbent will be expected to influence and partner with key decision makers alongside regional sales leadership and integrate cross functionally within JHBP. What You'll Do: Position Responsibilities Maintain and build trusted partnerships with key strategic builder accounts to retain or improve exclusivity of the contracts and grow our share of the wall with high value products. Work with rebates department to ensure quarterly rebate payments are submitted and processed in timely manner. Recognizing the different perspectives and priorities of executives and functional groups within the builder organization to effectively meet the diverse needs and timing of the various business leaders. When necessary, create top-to-top alignment of builder goals and objectives. Development and implementation of strategic plans that align to both the builder and our local divisions strategic objectives. Implement JH "Critical Few" by region inside accounts, where applicable, that support both JH and builder goals, while aligning these critical few with our local leadership team. Negotiation and implementation of national agreements through new account development, enhancing existing account agreements, and maintaining current account agreements. Business Development through partnership with corporate and regional stakeholders to identify ways to increase share of the wall while delivering value to the builder. Strong internal partnership with local regional leaders to ensure the best implementation of strategic initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction. Position Requirements The incumbent in this role must quickly develop a broad base of key industry contacts, develop an excellent understanding of JHBP segment strategies, products, goals and strategic objectives. Additionally, this role requires high emotional intelligence coupled with a strong abstract reasoning ability in order to effectively manage partnerships for mutual benefit of the builder and the company to ensure internal strategic objectives are met and exceeded. What You'll Bring: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: Demonstrated knowledge of the building industry. Proven work experience with strategic or key account management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong partnerships. Strong negotiation skills with a bias for problem solving. Ability to address customer requests in a timely and efficient manner. Holds oneself with high level of integrity and nurtures trust from others. High level of strategic thinking and implementation. Strong business acumen. Bias for self-structure. Strong project management skills. Education/Experience: Required: Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the building industry. Previous experience in people and strategic account management at a national level is preferred. Experience utilizing CRM tools. Travel 50%. A valid driver's license is required. Bachelor's degree preferred; must be from an accredited institution.
