Description
The Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement (Manufacturing) Will:
Partner with leadership to develop and execute continuous improvement strategies within the Lean Operating System framework. Lead and facilitate problem-solving sessions and Value Stream Mapping to drive process improvements. Implement tiered visual and daily management systems for effective factory oversight. Plan and facilitate Kaizen events to drive immediate and sustainable improvements on the shop floor. Analyze transaction-based processes to identify waste and drive productivity improvements. Provide training on Lean and Continuous Improvement tools, including Daily Management, 6S, Setup Reduction, and OEE. Coach and develop employees' skills in Lean methods and Continuous Improvement. Challenge existing processes and mindsets to achieve higher levels of sustainable results. Share best practices and benchmark with internal and external sources to drive innovation. Drive improvements in key metrics (SQDCP: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity) aligned with company objectives. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement across teams. Actively monitor and report on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with goals.
Profile
10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Lean Manufacturing operations. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of driving sustainable continuous improvement results. Practical experience with Lean tools such as SMED, 6S, Visual Management, and Daily Management. Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (or equivalent) preferred. Experience using advanced statistical and Six Sigma techniques for process optimization. Strong leadership and independent decision-making skills with a bias toward action. Ability to positively influence all levels of the organization and lead change initiatives. Project management experience, PMP certification or equivalent training preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio for documentation and process mapping. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation abilities. Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
