Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical projects for ITSD Network Services, ensuring that project milestones are achieved in collaboration with other departments. Lead technology teams in the development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance of both new and existing technology solutions Work with ITSD staff and County departments to define project requirements. Coordinate with technical teams to document and track detailed project requirements. Manage the project life cycle from inception to completion, including all related documentation. Assist senior ITSD management in developing and enforcing ITSD policies and standards. Supervise systems and programming project team members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Respond to various work situations and assignments. Implement best practices for project status reporting for infrastructure and security-related projects. Establish and maintain effective relationships, providing exceptional customer service with ITSD employees, department personnel from other agencies, and vendors. Create and monitor policies and IT standards related to customer processes. Develop effective plans to achieve objectives. Direct the development and successful implementation of large, complex applications for various users. Plan, direct, and organize the work of others in relation to project deliverables (while training and supervising staff). Qualifications:
Extensive experience in IT project management, including systems design, programming, infrastructure, security, or related IT services. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver's license. Willingness to travel within Ventura County as needed. Willingness to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through the employment application and supplemental questionnaire. Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Some supervisory experience (preferred). Knowledge of: Infrastructure and security projects as well as Data networks and cybersecurity projects and terminologies. Comprehensive understanding of: PMBOK, Agile, and general project management techniques and practices. Understand the functions and procedures of user departments, as well as related governmental rules and regulations. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Estimated Min Rate : $105000.00 Estimated Max Rate : $150000.00
