The National Park Foundation seeks an experienced professional to fulfill the position of Senior Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships on the External Affairs team. This position will oversee a diverse portfolio of high-level corporate accounts, cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and work across the organization to identify opportunities to streamline efforts across departments. This position is a key member of the Corporate Partnerships department, leveraging their expertise and experience to support overall fundraising efforts and accelerate the Account Management team's success.

This position offers the opportunity to join an award-winning team to leverage an impressive roster of highly visible national partners. This position supports NPF's overall revenue and brand objectives, with an emphasis on stewarding and executing successful corporate partnerships for long-term retention and growth. The Senior Account Manager have direct responsibility for a select portfolio of leading brand partners, pursuing opportunities to deepen relationships throughout the life of a partnership through successful shared messaging, activations, and incremental fundraising opportunities. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of corporate social impact practices and trends, as well as familiar with brand marketing, PR, social media, digital, experiential, promotions, and creative to bring 360 partnerships to life.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Account Management, Corporate Partnerships, this is a full-time, permanent position that requires regular attendance of in-person partner, team, agency and organizational meetings, with some paid travel required. The Senior Account Manager will also support the broader Corporate Partnerships team in partner reporting, database support, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage the day-to-day partnership needs, activation, and fulfillment of a personal account portfolio of marketing and brand partners, licensees, philanthropic donors, and more across varied sectors.
  • Implement and grow corporate partnership to advance NPF's financial, brand and program impact goals. Provide strategic ideas and develop marketing and communications projects, campaigns, experiential activations, impact storytelling, and more.
  • Steward corporate partners in a timely, appropriate and effective way, ensuring all partnership stakeholders have the information they need to be successful in their role. Keep a broad perspective, proactively anticipating needs and challenges to help projects to stay within scope, in budget and on time.
  • Shepherd partner product and partnership announcements, content, and activations through marketing, communications, and NPS review and approval process.
  • Strive to achieve portfolio metrics with a focus on long-term retention, growth, and collaboration opportunities. Seek and develop additional revenue opportunities as appropriate.
  • Communicate corporate partnership goals and priorities to internal and external stakeholders through briefing materials, decks, and presentations.
  • Draft and prepare renewal strategies, term sheets, proposals, and contracts for partnership renewals. Handle invoicing for assigned corporate partners.
  • Prepare and staff leadership participation in corporate partnership efforts as needed.
  • Work effectively with internal departments including Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, Content & Social, Programs & Partnerships, Legal, and Finance to develop and execute corporate partnerships.
  • Adhere to NPF brand standards and policies as well as those of our federal agency partner, the National Park Service. Protect and steward the National Park Foundation and National Park Service brands.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to NPF, the National Park Service, and America's national parks.
  • Support NPF's mission and collaborate with other departments as needed through in-kind, marketing support, and other assets.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate should have the following:
  • Demonstrated success in corporate fundraising and/or partnership marketing, including cause marketing, licensing, philanthropic support, sponsorship, and relationship management.
  • Experience in managing high-profile, complex accounts and partner stewardship events with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone, and in person.
  • A good understanding of current marketing principles, consumer trends, metrics, social and digital platforms, and methodology
  • Strong, effective communications and presentation skills that engage and persuade high profile, major corporations to support NPF.
  • A creative approach to developing new partnership campaigns to evolve with NPF's strategic needs.
  • Ability to find compromise to meet varied objectives.
  • A passion for America's national parks.
  • Familiarity with the National Park Service and/or working with a government agency is beneficial, but not required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree and/or 4-6 years of successful and relevant corporate partnerships experience.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in professional growth, willingness to take on increasingly complex strategies and assignments.
  • Experience in client management with varied industry categories.
  • Experience working with public sector partners, at federal, state or local level strongly preferred.
  • Non-profit experience preferred, but not required.
  • Command of PowerPoint and additional presentation or design software preferred.
