Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships (Environmental Foundation)

Our client, an environmental foundation, has an immediate need for a long term contract Account Manager for their Corporate Partnerships team. The position will oversee various corporate accounts and manage corporate partner relationships, maximizing revenue and brand engagement opportunities.

The position will start in mid-November and run through September 30, 2025. This is a hybrid opportunity that requires 2 to 3 days (Tuesday-Thursday) in their DC office.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of successful and relevant corporate partnerships experience.
  • Previous experience with corporate fundraising and/or partnership marketing, including cause marketing, licensing, philanthropic support, sponsorship, and relationship management.
  • Experience in managing high-profile, complex accounts and partner stewardship events with diverse stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of current marketing principles, consumer trends, metrics, social and digital platforms, and methodology.
  • Familiarity with working with a government agency is beneficial, but not required.
  • Strong, effective communications and presentation skills that engage and persuade high profile, major corporations to support the organization.
  • A creative approach to developing new partnership campaigns to evolve with the organization's strategic needs.
  • Experience in client management with varied industry categories.
  • Experience working with public sector partners, at federal, state or local level strongly preferred.
  • Non-profit experience preferred, but not required. Passion for the environment and preservation/conservation also a plus.
  • Command of PowerPoint and additional presentation or design software preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day partnership needs, activation, and fulfillment of a personal account portfolio of marketing and brand partners, licensees, philanthropic donors, and more across varied sectors.
  • Implement and grow corporate partnership to advance the financial, brand and program impact goals.
  • Provide strategic ideas and develop marketing and communications projects, campaigns, experiential activations, impact storytelling, and more.
  • Steward corporate partners in a timely, appropriate and effective way, ensuring all partnership stakeholders have the information they need to be successful in their role.
  • Shepherd partner product and partnership announcements, content, and activations through marketing, communications, and review and approval process.
  • Strive to achieve portfolio metrics with a focus on long-term retention, growth, and collaboration opportunities. Seek and develop additional revenue opportunities as appropriate.
  • Communicate corporate partnership goals and priorities to internal and external stakeholders through briefing materials, decks, and presentations.
  • Draft and prepare renewal strategies, term sheets, proposals, and contracts for partnership renewals. Handle invoicing for assigned corporate partners.
  • Prepare and staff leadership participation in corporate partnership efforts as needed.
  • Adhere to brand standards and policies as well as those of our federal agency partner.

Salary: $35-$40/h + after 90 days will be eligible for medical/vision/dental insurance and wellness leave.
