General Description:
The Sales Manager is responsible for completing assigned duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Sales Manager does this by supporting profitable and sustainable market share growth for assigned customers by developing and implementing strategic business concepts. The Sales Manager also leads and manages key strategic projects and new product development as assigned. The Sales Manager completes these functions in the support of the manufacture of dairy-related products.

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Byrne, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,000 to $98,500.

The Sales Manager also leads and manages key strategic projects and new product development as assigned. The Sales Manager completes these functions in the support of the manufacture of dairy-related products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in the sales budgeting process, providing accurate sales forecasts for assigned customers to facilitate strategic business decision-making.
- Work with Sr. Director to increase Byrne's industry presence through selecting, preparing for, and attending trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to increase company and brand awareness.
- Manage assigned new and existing customer leads and assigned customers' New Product Initiatives, following project management principles and driving through to a successful result.
- Act as a resource between customers and Byrne's internal pricing for assigned customers as well as the development of pricing of assigned new opportunities.
- Work with Sales Coordinator to define, track, and provide proactive insights regarding key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and efficiency.
- Cultivate and maintain enduring partnerships with key clientele, empathetically comprehending their evolving needs and ensuring a consistently high standard of customer satisfaction through tailored service offerings.
- Recognize and create new opportunities and recognize declining products/accounts; analyze business results and seek growth opportunities.
- Investigate product/service claims and ensure the resolution of assigned customer complaints.
- Stay abreast of market trends and competition prices.
- Drive sales in assigned customers by initiating contact with decision-makers and building sustainable relationships. Manage assigned accounts to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained.
- Responsible for achieving assigned goals in safety, quality, performance, and cost.
- Responsible for complying with GMPs, SOPs, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
- Works in a safe manner report safety concerns promptly to their leadership team and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills across various departments, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
- All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Essential Knowledge, and Skills:
- Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and knowledge of weights and measures, to handle job tasks sufficiently.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and general knowledge of office equipment and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively, showcasing strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
- Read, write, and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need).
- Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, goals, and your role in achieving each of them.
- Satisfactorily complete all company training requirements.

Education/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, marketing, or related field is preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in sales or marketing roles.
Performance Standards:
- Responsible for reporting to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences with the assigned Supervisor/Manager before the occurrence.
- Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work.
- Responsible for being well-groomed and always dressed in business and position-appropriate attire including ensuring compliance with GMP dress code standards.
- Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct as contained in company policy, employment procedures, and responsibilities as described in the company handbook.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Always maintain a safe work environment and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct safety/food safety concerns.
- Responsible for completing all assigned tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Requires morning and afternoon availability with flexibility outside of normal business hours based on company needs.
- Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advance notification and approval by the Supervisor/Manager.
- Salaried: Generally scheduled for 40-45 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
Environmental Concerns:
- May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens.
- May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Support company sustainability initiatives and policies.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment (up to 20 pounds.)
- Frequent use of computers and other office equipment.
