Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new product development and chemical testing procedures.
- Maintain quality control and assurance for existing products while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and technological advancements, with a focus on EPA registration for hard surface disinfectants and sanitizers.
- Conduct research, develop, test, and improve product formulas with professional judgment and technical expertise.
- Draft and review laboratory reports, standard operating procedures, and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental health standards.
- Proficiency in chemical tests and processes.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with sales staff and customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of three years of experience as a formulary chemist.
- Knowledge of FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting, including standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable handling chemicals and compounds.
- Capability to lift up to 15 pounds.
