Summary of Position:
Incumbent is responsible for providing patients (children, adolescents, and adults)) with in-depth individual, family, couples and/or group therapy for a wide range of mental health disorders or co-occurring disorders including domestic violence, abuse, and substance misuse. This position requires the application of advanced evidence-based mental health and substance misuse assessments, treatments, and interventions.

Incumbent is responsible for providing patients (children, adolescents, and adults)) with in-depth individual, family, couples and/or group therapy for a wide range of mental health disorders or co-occurring disorders including domestic violence, abuse, and substance misuse. This position requires the application of advanced evidence-based mental health and substance misuse assessments, treatments, and interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to handle stressful and possible volatile situations
- Knowledge of generational trauma and substance misuse
- Ability to conduct initial diagnostic intakes and assessments
- Ability to create culturally appropriate treatment plans based on biopsychosocial evaluation and diagnostic assessment
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Basic Word and Excel skills
- Must possess one of the following: LMFT (Licensed Marital & Family Therapist), Ph.D. (in Psychology), or Psy.D.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the Mental Health field working with a wide variety of populations
- Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, services, and best practices
- Experience with individual, couples, family, and group therapy, including psychoeducation to children, adolescents, and adults
- Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe's Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy
- Must maintain all licenses and certifications
