Summary:
Jorie is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as Medical Records/Mailroom Clerk. In this role, you will act as a key person within Jorie's organization, responsible for the handling of all client mailings and release of information as required.
Location & Hours:
This position is ONSITE at Corporate Office - 1000 Jorie Blvd, Oakbrook, IL.
2 Part-time employees working 20 hours weekly
Hours of work 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00pm Monday - Friday
1 will work Morning shift and the other will work the afternoon shift
Title: Medical Records/Mailroom Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Complete medical record requests for personal injury lawyers
- Monitor incoming and outgoing requests through various means
- Scan, organize, and access digital copies of medical records and store them electronically
- Maintain a consistent schedule by processing all requests within 24-48 hours of receipt for assigned accounts
- Ensure medical records are well-organized, accurate, and complete
- Communicate with all lawyers or other entities regarding any inquiries or outstanding requests
- Abide by HIPAA guidelines while ensuring the confidentiality of PHI
- Provide feedback regarding request volume and perceived issues
- Assist with quality audits
- Sorting and delivery of outgoing mail, including application of necessary postage; some receipt and distribution of incoming mail
- Reconciliation of number of items printed and mailed
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Safely operate and perform user maintenance on equipment (i.e. printer toner replacement, toner waste removal, paper tray refill) and basic troubleshooting (i.e. paper jams, network errors); create service request tickets with equipment vendor/manufacturer and/or company IT department
- Maintain precise logs of outgoing mail and ensure timely processing.
- Perform regular inventory checks of mailroom supplies.
- Handle confidential documents and sensitive information in accordance with company security protocols.
- Provide additional support to office staff and other departments as needed.

- High school diploma or GED
Part Time 20 hours a week Monday - Friday
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00
