Job Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Director, Business Development will work closely with OneOncology practices to drive new growth in existing markets by acquiring oncology practices. This role will be responsible for helping source potential opportunities, leading the transaction process, and owning the practice relationship to help facilitate growth. As part of the broader valuation process, this individual will be instrumental in the assessment of a practices' fit within our organization and the ability for OneOncology to deliver value.
Responsibilities
- Drive new market development efforts, ranging from new physician practices to local market partnerships, and acquiring new ancillary services for these practices
- Engage regularly with physician leaders nationally, serving as the face of OneOncology
- Work cross-functionally with the Due Diligence, Operations, and Legal teams to drive the transaction and deal process from first communication to integration into OneOncology
- Work with cross functional teams on market / industry research and analysis, including target and competitive landscaping and profiling, and monitor areas of strategic interest
- Work with cross functional teams to identify, execute, and continuously refine market strategies for new and existing markets to help support growth, which may include assessment of practice, hospital and payer landscape, evaluating growth potential of surrounding practices, ancillary services, and/or partnerships, and working with Operations team to ensure successful execution
- Prepare and present pipeline and growth strategies regularly to internal leadership
- Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships with external organizations as well as support ad hoc projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Qualifications
- Degree(s); Bachelor's Degree; MBA a plus
- Years of experience: 5+ years of healthcare sales and/or M&A experience
- Healthcare physician practice management experience required, Oncology experience a plus
- Travel: 50-60%
