Manager Global Events

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida (hybrid)

The Role:

The Manager Global Events will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing a diverse range of events that elevate our brand and foster meaningful connections with customers, partners, and industry leaders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences. In addition, the incumbent will supervise at least one other professional in the alliances and events area.

Essential job functions:

  • Event Strategy Development: Create and implement a global events strategy that aligns with our marketing objectives, enhances brand visibility, and drives lead generation.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and manage all logistics for a variety of events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and corporate meetings, ensuring seamless execution from conception to completion.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and partners to secure venues, catering, technology, and other resources, negotiating contracts to maximize value and minimize costs.
  • Team Management: Oversee the work of one (or more) marketing professionals focused on alliances marketing, and serve as manager to evaluate performance, provide direction and feedback as needed in daily work and professional development of the team member(s).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product management, and customer success teams to ensure event goals are aligned with overall business objectives and messaging.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring events are delivered within financial constraints.
  • On-Site Management: Oversee on-site event operations, including setup, registration, and execution, ensuring a professional and engaging experience for attendees.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Evaluate the success of events through feedback and metrics, providing reports to stakeholders and making recommendations for future improvements.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador at events, engaging with attendees and promoting our software security solutions.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event management to continuously enhance our event offerings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in large format event management, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Experience as a people manager or supervisor is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for networking and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
