Who we are seeking:

As we expand our presence in the United States to better serve the evolving needs of our global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) clientele, we are thrilled to be recruiting for a Business Development Director, to be part of our team in Chicago and help us deliver our platform at scale to some of the largest organizations in the world!

As the Business Development Director, you will spearhead the growth of our cutting-edge AI-optimized scheduling and forecasting platform within the fast-food and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Your mission is to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and cultivate long-lasting client relationships. Your primary objective is to expand our market footprint and drive significant revenue growth within the fast-food and QSR segment.

What you can expect:

To excel as a Business Development Director at LIFELENZ, you will exhibit a deep passion for driving revenue and building strong client relationships, both virtually and in-person. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Development: Craft and implement a robust business development strategy to drive LIFELENZ adoption and revenue growth within the QSR industry.
  • Opportunity Identification: Actively pursue new business opportunities through strategic lead generation, comprehensive market research, and effective networking with industry leaders.
  • Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, while conducting thorough analyses of client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to tailor sales strategies.
  • Deal Execution: Lead contract negotiations and successfully close deals that align with revenue and growth objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across product development, marketing, and customer success to enhance customer satisfaction and drive product improvements.
  • Value Communication: Clearly articulate LIFELENZ's value proposition through compelling proposals, presentations, and demos. Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows to boost brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Market Monitoring: Stay ahead of market trends, industry regulations, and competitive movements to uncover potential opportunities and anticipate risks.
  • Reporting: Provide senior management with accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance insights.
  • Client Guidance: Partner with internal technology and insights experts to offer data-driven guidance and insights to clients.
  • Sales Lifecycle Support: Collaborate with implementation and partner development teams throughout the sales lifecycle, especially in account/partner development, solutions engineering, and implementation.
What you bring:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven success in business development within the fast-food or QSR industry, particularly in technology or SaaS solutions.
  • Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the unique challenges, trends, and competitive dynamics within the QSR sector, with experience in leveraging IT solutions to solve complex business problems.
  • Network: A well-established network of relationships with key industry decision-makers and executives.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with the talent to explain complex products to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deal-Making: Demonstrated expertise in identifying, pursuing, and closing complex deals with fast-food and QSR clients.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, spot growth opportunities, and develop actionable sales strategies.
  • Sales Experience: Experience managing long sales cycles (over 6 months) and excelling in consultative sales roles with a focus on quality lead targeting rather than high-volume cold calling.
  • Negotiation Prowess: Strong negotiation skills, with the agility to handle objections, rejection, and ambiguity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce functions and dashboards, and experience with prospecting tools like Outreach.io.
  • Written Communication: Exceptional email communication skills for managing and operationalizing large-scale projects across multiple teams.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as necessary for sales meetings, client presentations, and other business engagements.
