Position Summary:
The Finance & Insurance Manager provides customers with tailored financing and insurance solutions, ensuring seamless transactions and superior customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for verifying sales details, assessing financing needs, evaluating creditworthiness, preparing legal and financial documents, and promoting relevant products and services. The Finance & Insurance Manager plays a critical role in upholding the dealership's reputation and financial objectives. Limited travel to other dealership locations and customer visits may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess Financing Needs: Conduct interviews with customers to determine their financing requirements and explore available payment options.
  • Verify Sales Information: Review sales contract details, collaborate with the sales team, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy.
  • Evaluate Creditworthiness: Analyze customer credit applications, retrieve credit reports, and assess information against organizational standards. Work closely with lenders, underwriters, and loan processors to secure financing, approving or rejecting loans as appropriate.
  • Prepare Financial Documents: Complete loan agreements and other transaction-related documents.
  • Communicate Sales Contract Information: Explain sales contract provisions, finance charges, and interest rates to customers, ensuring they understand the terms.
  • Sell Additional Products and Services: Offer insurance products, credit insurance, extended warranties, and other relevant services based on customer needs.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Establish strong rapport with customers, addressing questions, resolving issues, and maintaining a high Customer Satisfaction Index.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations while helping colleagues comply. Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on industry trends and best practices through continuing education, professional networks, and industry publications.
  • Contribute to Organizational Goals: Take ownership of new initiatives and look for ways to enhance the role and add value to the organization.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to other dealership locations and customer sites as needed to facilitate transactions and build relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of industry-related finance experience (automotive, trucking, or dealership finance preferred).
  • License:
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Skills:
    • Strong math and analytical skills
    • Proficiency with financial software and tools
    • Excellent organizational and administrative writing skills
    • High level of integrity and professionalism
    • Ability to build partnerships and foster strong customer relationships
    • Strong closing, selling, and customer service skills
    • Experience with statistical analysis and financial evaluation
