Senior Litigation Attorney

Platt Richmond is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join our thriving and growing practice. This attorney will be responsible for managing a broad range of commercial litigation matters both in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts in Texas and across the country including securities, bankruptcy financial services, intellectual property, class action defense and other business disputes. This role requires a deep knowledge of all stages of the litigation process and the ability to manage all aspects of a matter including legal research and writing, strategy development, hearings, depositions, and trial preparation and attendance. This role will involve working with and mentoring associate attorneys and paralegals. In return, you will be mentored by talented partners, with a genuine desire to help develop junior attorneys into future partners.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage complex litigation caseload and assist in all facets of the litigation practice
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs
- Take fact and expert depositions
- Appear for court hearings
- Litigation strategy development
- Trial preparation and practice
- Training and mentoring young attorneys and paralegals
- J.D. and Texas Bar Admittance
- 7+ years of experience litigating, leading, and commercial litigation cases in a private practice environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and eDiscovery software (e.g., Servient, Disco, Relativity, Everlaw, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Confidence and ability to develop rapport with clients and
- Extensive Case/Project Management Experience
