Who You Are:

As a planner for Michael Kors launching the Amazon account and partnership, you will support all divisions (Accessories, Footwear, Ready to Wear, Men's and liaison with Licensing) in providing financial metrics that aid in strategies to optimize product assortments and inventory on the site. You are energetic, collaborative, have strong communication skills, and are results-driven. You thrive in a rapidly changing retail environment where strategic intelligence and financial expertise are critical. You have deep knowledge of retail math and business acumen, and its importance within a fashion organization. You are comfortable presenting to both small and large groups of varying titles, including divisional presidents and wholesale accounts. The ideal candidate will have Amazon experience as a planner, a digital e-commerce background, strong analytical skills, a keen sense of the marketing landscape, while also possessing strong entrepreneurial skills.

What You'll Do:
  • Support the launch of Amazon across multiple categories and drive the budgets, forecasts and long-range financial planning process
  • Lead account financial management initiatives via a partnership with a category manager and director
  • Provide support and guidance to the Director and category manager to ensure standardization and consistency in projections and reporting
  • Build Financial reporting and forecasting for all the Amazon categories tracking bookings, shipments and product margin
  • Provide reporting and analysis for weekly, monthly and seasonal insight; recommend strategies based on said analytics and enact action plans with category manager counterpart
  • Participate in markets to ensure seasonal buys are appropriate given historical data
  • Perform ad hoc projects for both MK and Amazon leadership on an as-needed basis
You'll Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in planning; Retail or Wholesale preferred
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (Formulas, pivots, etc.)
  • Amazon or digital e-commerce Experience
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Full understanding of product lifecycle & proficient in retail math
  • Knowledge of industry best practices / standards
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesizing data analyses into actionable results
  • Strong insightful analytical skills and business acumen
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Fast learner and passionate for sales, strong knowledge of trends, fashion sense and know-how.
  • Goal-oriented, driven and experienced in networking with and influencing decision-makers.
  • Thrive in a fast paced on-time deliverable environment
  • Ability to work in NYC office 3 days a week

Compensation Range:
$75,000.00-$125,000.00
