Job Description:
The MRO Buyer will help keep the plant operating efficiently by working with Maintenance and other departments, as needed, to make sure required materials are promptly and accurately procured, stocked, and reported within the guidelines of TRC's SOP's. This will be done with a cost conscious mindset. The MRO Buyer is responsible for administrative details. These details include but are not limited to helping to resolve three way matching discrepancies between Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and Invoices. The MRO Buyer is also responsible for monitoring operating supplies reorder points.
Responsibilities:
• Procure all spare parts with guidance from Maintenance
• Procure non-production items by established reorder point
• Process daily the "Spare parts Log sheet" and "Items Below Reorder Point" report
• Reduce cost of Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies by actively seeking opportunities to reduce cost
• Create and process purchase orders for Maintenance, Utilities, IT and HR, etc; sourcing the lowest cost option when viable
• File and Maintain list of Conformity, Acceptance or other Certificates required for some parts as a component of Kocher-Plastik tracking tool
• Order, receive and store away spare parts, supplies and equipment as needed including parts repaired in the maintenance shop
• Aid in cycle counting and the performance of physical inventories
• Return to supplier shipments including creating log and recording shipments
• Assists other warehouse employees as needed
• Follow Standard Operating procedures, safety, health, and cGMP Guidelines
Qualifications:
• Associate degree or High School Diploma (or GED) with two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Skilled at MS Office applications
• Good organization skills
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory and work order records
• Must be able to use PC to enter data and print reports
• Ability to participate and develop a team-oriented work relationship within the operation
