MRO Buyer

Position Summary

The Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Buyer is responsible for spare parts and inventory management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Spare Parts warehouse, working under direct supervision of Maintenance Planning Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to improve CMMS and Spare Parts processes, recommends changes, performs implementation, and drives procedural changes.
• Creates and update's parts locations in CMMS.
• Tracks and communicates Key Performance Indicators.
• Verifies and signs MRO related documentation.
• Partners with all business work streams for CMMS and MRO needs.
• Provides reports and uses reporting tools for inventory analysis graphs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Works closely with vendors and procurement to ensure parts are procured and stock to maintain minimum inventory levels.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Education Requirements

Minimum: High School diploma, a certificate of General Educational Development (GED)

or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Experience Requirements

• General knowledge of asset management, work record, and spare part processes.
• Knowledge of CMMS, preferably Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management System.
• Data trending and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Good computer skills required.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Must be flexible to work multiple shifts (Day, Swing, Nights) including weekends.
• Must have a solid understanding of cGMP.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
