AMLaw 100 Firm is looking for a Senior Employment Attorney to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a non-partnership track role ideal for an attorney with a deep understanding of employment law and California Labor Code, combined with extensive litigation experience.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Licensed to practice in California
- Minimum 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation, transactional work, and providing advice and counsel
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including wage and hour laws, the California Labor Code, and experience practicing in state and federal courts/agencies
- Experience in defending class and collective actions, as well as PAGA claims
- Experience supporting transactional groups in complex deals and providing daily advice to a diverse client base
- Litigation Management: Manage litigation involving class action and single-plaintiff cases, including issues related to wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misclassification, wrongful termination, and more.
- Transactional Work: Advise on employment matters related to corporate transactions, conduct employment due diligence, and draft and negotiate employment-related agreements.
- Counseling & Advice: Provide day-to-day counsel on reductions in force, restrictive covenants, employee mobility, compensation practices, commission plans, policies, training, and leave practices.
- Strong analytical and writing skills

- Travel: Occasional travel as needed
