Job Description
The Advanced Crystal Group in Coherent's Budd Lake, NJ facility has a great opportunity for an experienced Planner. The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations in our growing product line of Optical Fibers and Components. We are seeking a high-energy individual with a strong continuous improvement ethic. This is a fast-paced, highly technical and continually evolving manufacturing business with significant growth potential.

The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations in our growing product line of Optical Fibers and Components. Responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain BOM and routing information in the ERP system
- Integrate new products into existing manufacturing departments
- Execute work orders based on MRP outputs
- Monitor the movement of material through the production cycle
- Handle Outside Processing Planning, including creating requisitions for various outside services and the associated coordination of parts movement in/out of plant
- Maintain open work order reports for accuracy in all manufacturing departments
- Schedule sales order and related planning functions
- Schedule, track, and communicate order dates to other Coherent entities
- Assist team with on-going inventory programs
- Track, expedite, and communicate shortages with stakeholders
- Support R&D planning functions.
- Select sources, negotiate prices, place orders and oversee accompanying documentation
- Special projects as required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with MRP systems required; experience with Oracle preferred
- Previous experience with setting up new items in ERP system strongly desired
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and oral communication skills
