Quality Specialist

As a Quality Specialist, you will ensure high-quality product production through rigorous inspection, testing, and adherence to ASME and ISO 9001 standards. This role involves conducting inspections, managing regulatory compliance, and implementing quality controls to meet product and process specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections (incoming, in-process, final) to ensure products meet QMS and regulatory standards before shipment.
  • Coordinate ASME product testing and report results.
  • Document verification and validation reports, securing sign-offs from Authorized Inspectors (A.I.) as needed.
  • Verify product drawings and specifications for ASME compliance.
  • Manage the ASME Welder training and certification program.
  • Stay updated on ASME code changes and update internal documentation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and inspection methods for effectiveness and cost reduction.
  • Lead the Non-Conforming Product (NCP) process, including investigation and trend tracking.
  • Participate in audits (ASME, QMS) and customer complaint investigations.
  • Track and report performance metrics (KPIs) to the Director of Quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and travel domestically up to 5%.
Qualifications:
  • Current CWI or AWS certification required; ASME BPV Code training to be completed within six months.
  • GED or technical discipline with 5-8 years of experience in ASME-regulated manufacturing.
  • Strong quality control experience and proficiency in engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality systems documentation.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
