Onsite A leading company in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Accounting and Administrative Specialist to join their team in Kirkland, Washington. This role is pivotal in managing payroll processing for a unionized workforce, and ensuring compliance with varying wage scales, overtime regulations, and state-specific laws. Key responsibilities include overseeing project accounting, integrating payroll with Plexxis software, and assisting in accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in payroll and accounting, preferably with experience in a union environment, and will be committed to accuracy and attention to detail while fostering a collaborative work culture. Salary Range: $60,000-$100,000 / year DOE Accounting and Administrative Specialist Responsibilities: Manage payroll processing ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and varying wage scales Integrate payroll with Plexus software, entering certified payroll data and project management financials Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across multi-state operations Enter payroll using physical timecards, ensuring accuracy in dates, pay rates, and union re-rates Assist in entering accounts payable invoices and processing payments Maintain and file payroll, employee files, and AP/AR documents Collaborate with the senior administrator to facilitate efficient operations and accurate financial reporting Respond to inquiries and assist employees with payroll-related questions Accounting and Administrative Specialist Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting Experience with union payroll processes and regulations is preferred Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with templates and report generation Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members Local to the Kirkland area, with a genuine commitment to remaining in the position long-term Benefits: 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off: 1 week (5 days) in the first year, 2 weeks (10 days) in the second year, plus 2 days of sick leave Union holidays are paid Positive work culture with individual office spaces, shuffleboard, and a welcoming common area Opportunities for growth and promotion based on performance Apply Now
